Credit Card Payments for Registration and Uniform Fees will be debited from your account on 14-15th May. Please ensure you have the amount available in your account.

*The Official Hockey Club Ladies Day is on June 1st * This year we will be joining some of the other Sports Associations in putting a Ladies Day event on. On Saturday, June 1 all of our mens teams will play at Ryde wearing pink socks to raise money for the McGrath Foundation. There’ll be a BBQ, bake sale, drinks and more!

Training on Monday 27th May will be themed PINK, players can also pre-purchase socks for $10. Then on Sunday June 2nd our ladies will sport their sexy socks at games! *

Men: A reminder that the website – Mens Informaton Page – will be the only source of info for the mens teams.* All *Men’s selections* will be posted to the website on *Monday nights *following training. As adjustments are made, it is the responsibility of members to ensure they check the website later in the week for any changes. Mens selection emails will not be issued.

If anyone is unavailable they must email hockeyregistrar@mq.edu.au. This should be done well before the Monday selections. Once again, the website will be the single source for unavailabilities. If you do not show there, then we consider you as available.

What a great start to the Season, welcome to all our new subscribers and players, it’s great to have you! Welcome back with glee to all the continuing Veterans, it’s just as great to have you too! We’ve got an exciting week coming up so stay in-the-know with a few friendly announcements below (no biggy that I rhymed that): * Uniforms* If you do not have your uniform yet or wish to make any changes to sizes etc., Monday will be your *last chance*! Nicola will be at training next Monday, 29th April – if you are not there to collect and/or swap your uniforms you will need to arrange someone else to do this for you as there will be no more collections or trades after this date.

*Men’s Team Selections *The first pass at men’s selections will be posted to the website Monday nights following training. As people pull out adjustments will be made but it will be up to all members to ensure they check the website later in the week for any changes. Mens selection emails will not be issued.

Magut Events this weekend!! This Saturday is Magut Masters Pub Golf *- Inspired by Adam Scott. From North Sydney to the Rocks, prepare yourself for 18 of the best holes. Starting at 7.30pm at the Spiritual Home of the Maguts – Gilroys, St Leonard’s – and ending at none other than Jackson’s. Epic!

Theme: Golf Attire Course: Details of specific holes to follow – contact Liam Dixon or check the Facebook event (to be posted later today). Handicap: Will be assigned to each player

*This Sunday is Game of the Month* – at Cintra Hockey Field. Mens 4th Grade kick things off at 1:30pm, followed by 3rd Grade at 3:00pm!

Then hang around to watch to watch the Women’s 1st and 2nd Grade Squad in action! Both teams remain undefeated after strong starts to the season. 1st grade are up first at 6:00pm, followed by 2nd’s at 7:30pm.

There are still quite a few Men AND Women who haven’t signed up and if you would like to play a game this weekend, you need to register before the weekend. If you would like a uniform to play in I suggest you register TODAY as our uniform team are sorting out distribution to coaches before your games.

So all in all, if you haven’t registered, I’m issuing a butt-kicking that you should stop putting it off and do it NOW!

2. There has been a glitch in the confirmation emails for Registration. They have been quoting prices for uniforms only. This is not correct and has been fixed. Your Credit Card will be charged the price of fess plus the price of your uniform as you were quoted on the Registration Form. Sorry for the confusion – all payments will be processed in the next few weeks. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so here: http://macunihockey.org/registration/

3. Thank you to everyone who came dressed in Irish attire for St Patty’s Day training. I would like to announce and congratulate James Flanders for his creativity, individuality and effort expressed in his costume as an Irish flag (photo on Facebook to come) – he is the winner of the Trivia Night Ticket – details of date TBA soon.

4. Mens 1st and 2nd Grade – you have trials this Sunday against Glebe at Cintra.

Happy Easter!! Training will be held tomorrow at normal times for all teams except Mens 1st and 2nd Grade.

To confirm – all Womens teams plus Mens 3rds and 4ths will train tomorrow night at normal times.

Our sexy new uniforms will be handed out after you have registered – at trainings and before games – so for all women playing in 1st and 2nd Grade, you will need to register before 7th April.

Macquarie University and School Students – $260

Members joining MUHC for the first time – $365

All other members – $470

*Uniform Prices:* New to MUHC (who do not own an existing uniform) – $65 Existing members (who have an existing uniform) – $25

The MUHC Committee are looking for two dashing people (male and female) to get involved as Media Coordinators for the Club – funnily enough, last year’s superstars are now Pres and Vice Pres so the positions need filling, you’ll obviously be highly esteemed!

*Media Coordinator* Responsibilities Include: * Collect match results each week so they can be circulated to the club. * Engage different media opportunities to positively promote the club. * Draft news briefs/articles for paper and online publicity. * Attend Committee meetings for regular updates. * Be awesome.
